LPGA teaching pro, MSU alumna to speak at Michigan Woman's Golf Summit

Teresa Zamboni keynote speaker for April 25 event at Suburban Collection Showplace Diamond Center

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – Teresa Zamboni, an award-winning LPGA teaching professional and Michigan State University alumna, will be the keynote speaker at the Michigan Women's Golf Summit, Saturday, April 25, at the Suburban Collection Showplace Diamond Center in Novi.

Co-founder of Nancy Lopez Golf Adventures, Zamboni is director of the ‘Play Happy Golf' Adventure Golf Program. The company's mission, under LPGA Legend Nancy Lopez and her instructional staff, is to educate golfers on how to play their best golf while enjoying every moment of the game.

Presented by the Golf Association of Michigan (GAM), Team Rehab, the Michigan Women's Golf Association (MWGA), Executive Women's Golf Association Metro Detroit (EWGAMD) and Women's Metropolitan Golf Association (WMGA), the Michigan Women's Golf Summit will feature a variety of skill development sessions for women, basic and advanced rules clinics, a golf leadership roundtable and luncheon with Zamboni as keynote speaker. The summit is geared toward women of all playing levels, including beginners, and industry professionals interested in growing women's involvement in the game.

Zamboni is an LPGA Class A Professional, who has earned national acclaim and numerous recognitions since joining the LPGA Teaching and Club Professionals in 1994. In 2007, she was named LPGA National Teacher of the Year and also was the LPGA Southeast Section Teacher of the Year. In 2008-09, she was named among the LPGA's Top 50 Teachers and in 2010-12, was recognized as one of the 50 Best Women Teachers in America by Golf Digest. She is a certified Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) golf fitness instructor and regular tournament player, having participated in more than 90 LPGA T&CP tournaments.  She also played on the LPGA Futures Tour from 1998 to 2001.

Zamboni was born in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, is a Michigan State University graduate.  She now resides in Port Orange, Fla., where she teaches at Crane Lakes Golf and Country Club.

Individual registration for the summit is $45 per person, which includes lunch. Deadline for registration is Aprl 17th.
