OAKLAND, Calif. – The Detroit Tigers defeated the Oakland Athletics 3-0 Thursday night in a deciding Game 5 of the American League Division Series.
The Tigers advance to the American League Championship Series where they will meet the Boston Red Sox.

Game 1 of the ALCS will be played at 8:07 p.m. Saturday at Fenway Park in Boston. Game 2 is at 8:15 p.m. Sunday in Boston.
All ALCS games will be broadcast on Fox.
