DETROIT - Torii Hunter's 8th career walk-off hit in the 12th inning Sunday scored Matt Tuiasosopo and gave the Tigers their 8th straight win.
The game was tied 2-2 in the 12th inning, when Miguel Cabrera came in to pinch hit for Ramon Santiago. Cabrera got the job done with a single and was immediately replaced by Matt Tuiasosopo.
Two batters later, Torri Hunter, who also came into the game late, drove in the winning run with a line drive to left field.
The Tigers beat the White Sox 3-2, sweeping their division rivals. It's the Tigers third-straight series sweep. They were undefeated on this homestand.
The Tigers could have won in the 9th inning leading by one run, but Drew Smyly gave up a solo home run to Paul Konerko to send the game into extra innings.
Bruce Rondon pitched two scoreless innings and got his first career win.
Monday, the Tigers head to Cleveland to begin a series with the Tribe leading the AL Central by three games.
