With a 4-12 season, the question is: Will he stay or will he go?

"You got one bad season and on top of it you just want to get rid of the coach? The one who helped you get back to where you were?" said Lions fans Geoff Madden. "He needs to ride out his contract."

Schwartz signed a contract extension through 2015 after the team made the playoffs last season.

"I know what he does every day. He goes to work and he does his best job. He does the best he can with his players and I don't know what you can say negative about that," said fan Chase Dering. "But the players have to perform on the field. That's what it comes down to."

Schwartz himself said changes needs to be made during a news conference after the team's Sunday loss to the Chicago Bears.

"The thing I'm most concerned about is getting this team back to where we all want it to be," he said. "When the story of this season is written, it's going to say 4-12. And nobody's happy about that, players, coaches, front office, ownership. Everybody's on the same boat with that."
