Red Wings recall goalie Petr Mrazek

Mrazek is 10-2 this season with Grand Rapids Griffins

DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings have recalled goaltender Petr Mrazek from the Grand Rapids Griffins.

Mrazek has played one game with the Red Wings this season on Nov. 2 when he earned a shutout in a 5-0 win over the Edmonton Oilers, in Edmonton. The Wings reassigned him to Grand Rapids the next day.

The 21-year-old Czech Repblic native started two games for the team last season going 1-1 and posting a .922 save percentage and a 2.02 GAA.

This season, Mrazek has started 13 games for the Griffins. He is 10-2 on the season with a .927 save percentage and 2.09 GAA.

The Red Wings' next game is Thursday night against the Tampa Bay Lighting in Florida. It's not clear if Mrazek will start.
