DETROIT – Detroit Red Wings captain Henrik Zetterberg is expected to miss at least two weeks of play due to a small herniated disc.
The team tweeted the news Tuesday morning.
@DetroitRedWings -- "Per Ken Holland, Henrik Zetterberg will miss a minimum of two weeks with a small herniated disc."
Zetterberg leads the team this season with 30 points in 28 games. It's not clear how the center suffered the injury.
The Red Wings are enjoying a four-game winning streak. They face the Philadelphia Flyers Wednesday night at Joe Louis Arena.
