RIO DE JANEIRO - There is a push to make pole dancing an Olympic sport.
An estimated 2,500 fans attended the second annual Pole World Cup Saturday in Rio de Janiero.
Sixty women from 25 countries competed. Judge evaluated their performances based on technique, artistry and the difficulty of moves. The winner of each category received approximately $5,000.
In recent years, many people have argued pole dancing should be recognized as a sport in the Olympics.
