PONTIAC, Mich. – The Michigan Bucks came out in veteran PDL fashion Wednesday night against the Toronto Lynx, proving that they do know how to command a game.

The second half started out on a somewhat setback with star midfielder Zach Steinberger, from Butler University, going down with an ankle injury within the first two minutes. He would remain out for the entire game.

The Bucks quickly picked up pace, however, with No. 9 Dzenan Catic picking up the first of what would end up being a hat-trick of goals. His first was a header slotted into the upper corner of the net and all Toronto's goalie and two defenders marking on the post could do was watch it go in.

At halftime, the Bucks led 2-0, but came out even more intense in the second half with No. 8 Ngwese Enangwese, No. 22 Will Roberts and Catic all scoring.

Toronto had a few shots but Bucks goalkeeper Adam Grinwis handled each of them, whether it was having to leap high over the defenders to snag it or dive to snatch it up and keep a clean sheet for the match. Solid defending by the Bucks, led by No. 13 Stew Givens, diverted Toronto's offense all night and shut down their attempt to get on the board.
