Owners Take To Internet Boards To Gripe

Forget YK2 -- this is Z2K9.Owners of the Zune's 30GB model reported Wednesday -- one day before the new year -- that a glitch caused their models to freeze up.Internet message boards are full of gripes and complaints, especially on Zune.net.One Zune owner wrote, "It's so strange that everyone's Zune decided to take a day off today."Another wrote, "I am about to buy an Ipod, I have never had so much trouble with a mp3 player since I bought the zune in Jan 08."Microsoft said it is trying to fix the problem. By midday Wednesday Central time, the Zune Web site was displaying this message: "Customers with 30gb Zune devices may experience issues when booting their Zune hardware. We’re aware of the problem and are working to correct it. The Zune Social might be slow or inaccessible. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for your patience!"
