Construction projects continue in metro Detroit with traffic shifts and closures on metro Detroit freeways.

Local 4 Traffic has created a guide for commuters on the current projects affecting commuters:

  • M-59: Eastbound M-59 traffic will be shifted to the westbound side at Telegraph Road, one lane maintained in each direction, beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday and ending at 5 a.m. on Mnday.

  • I-75: Single right lane closure on southbound I-75 at Square Lake Road beginning at 9 p.m. on Friday and ending at 5 a.m. on Monday.

Weather permitting, intermittent single and double lane closures on northbound I-75 from M-15 to Grange Hall Road on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • I-696: On Sunday, the ramp from eastbound I-696 to southbound M-10 will be closed until early July. A detour will be posted. In conjunction, the ramps from southbound M-10 to northbound and southbound Telegraph will be closed during the same time frame.

  • M-10: There will be a double lane closure on northbound and southbound Lodge Freeway between Martin Luther King Boulevard and Howard Street beginning at 9 p.m. on Friday and ending at 5 a.m. on Monday. After 5 a.m. on Monday, the single lane closure will be moved from the left lane to the right lane in each direction.

  • I-96: On Monday, there will be intermittent single and double lane closures on I-96 at West Grand Boulevard and Warren Avenue in Detroit. Eastbound lane closures will run from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily. Westbound lane closures will run from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily. The work is expected to be completed at the end of April.
