DETROIT - Whether it's a Friday night or simply looking for a quick place to eat and meet with friends and family, there are plenty of sports bars across Metro Detroit.
Local 4 viewers have chosen their favorite sports bars in this year's Vote 4 The Best contest.

The Sports Venue
Topping the list and a previous winner of best Detroit sports bars is The Sports Venue.
Located in Garden City on Middlebelt Road, customers who voted in this year's contest say they like The Sports Venue for its great food and friendly atmosphere.
"The Sports Venue is the best sports bar and grille in Michigan," said Sherry. "I LOVE the food, fun events they plan, and they are so generous with helping out our community."

Next up on the list of Detroit's best sports bars is Gator Jake's in Sterling Heights.
Serving a full menu of food everyday until 2:00 a.m., Gator Jake's says it features 24 beers on tap, over 30 high-definition televisions, Club Keno, pool tables, trivia and more.
"Gator Jake's is a great place to eat," said Cindy, who voted in this year's contest. "Love the outdoor patio."

Placing third on the list of best Detroit sports bars is The Lodge in Keego Harbor.
The sports bar says the original Lodge started in 1991 in Sylvan Lake, Michigan. For many years, the business has provided an assortment of food and variety of over 100 beer choices.
The Lodge says it also hosts team parties and family outings, all while providing great customer service and serving up portion sizes that has people talking.
"A local 'Pub' with great food (my favorite is the chicken fritters), atmosphere and an outside patio for that at home feel," said Duane.

3 Nick's Scoreboard
Located in Allen Park, 3 Nick's Scoreboard also makes the list of the best sports bars in Metro Detroit.
Calling itself the neighborhood sports bar, 3 Nick's Scoreboard says it is the home of the 99 cent half-pound burger, while offering 28 flat screen television, lottery, free Wi-Fi, and fast and friendly service.
"My favorite Sports bar in southeast Michigan," said William. "Great people and wonderful drink specials, tons of screens."
