Another cool start around metro Detroit

Lows in the 50s this morning and a decent day ahead

DETROIT – Look for partly to mostly cloudy skies and highs around 76 degrees with winds out of the West or WNW 5-11 mph.

We will see a few afternoon showers as a weak cool front passes through. Our models show the best chances for afternoon rain showers will be along and south of I-94 but be prepared for some scattered afternoon rain and isolated thunder all across SE Michigan.

Conditions will slowly warm up as we continue through the work week with temps getting into the upper 70s Thursday and Friday.

But, there is a chance for spotty rain showers each afternoon all the way through Saturday.

There is a blocking pattern over the Atlantic Ocean and that means we are stuck in this cycle.

As temps warm closer to 80 degrees Friday and Saturday, more moisture from the south begins to creep in and we could see slightly more or heavier rains scattered about the area on Friday and Saturday afternoons.

This weather pattern is not great for summer vacationing and recreation, but it's not awful and will still be a good week for the grass and garden. Get your complete 7 Day forecast on clickondetroit.com and on the Weather links:
