Hail Storm Blankets Detroit; More Rain Forecast
Severe Weather Not Anticipated

DETROIT -- Marble-sized hail pounded downtown Detroit Friday morning, reportedly damaging several cars.
The overnight storm through Wayne and Monroe counties also brought thunder, lightning and rain showers, according to Local 4's Big Picture Forecast. Many roads were flooded with the frozen rain, Local 4 reported.
"Left a little bit of damage, especially in the Detroit metro area," Local 4 meteorologist Eric Wilson said.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms were expected to end Friday morning.
"We have some sunshine. A cooler day today," Wilson said.
Friday's high temperature was expected to reach 58 degrees. Storms are expected to return Friday night and continue through the weekend.
The storms are forecast for areas along and south of Interstate 94, according to The National Weather Service. The storms are expected to remain elevated as it travels east, and will have limited instability. Severe weather is not anticipated.
