Eric Wilson

Local4Casters

Eric Wilson left Local 4 in January 2008 to join the weather team at Post-Newsweek owned WKMG, WDIV's sister-station in Orlando, FL.

Eric had been part of the Local4Casters weather team since January 2000.

Eric is a native of Davis, Calif., but as the son of an Air Force Colonel, he was always on the move as a child. Eric joined the Air Force himself in 1988 and took a part time job at KXMC, a local radio and television station in North Dakota. Once discharged from the Service, he received a diploma as a broadcast meteorologist from Mississippi University. He moved to New York in 1996 and worked at WGRZ in Buffalo.

His outdoor, on location weather forecasts have become a favorite with viewers: from the wacky car wash segment to showing his school spirit, Eric has put viewers in the spotlight and smiles on the faces of viewers.

Other Favorites:
  • Favorite books: Mystery and sci-fi including "Contact" and any "X-Files"
