5-Minute-weather: Sunshine and flurries possible Thursday

DETROIT – Thursday morning will be mostly cloudy and cold with lows in the low 20s.  Lingering flurries will fall before and after noon creating some slick spots.  The afternoon will have the 5-minute Southeast Michigan is known for in Winter.  There will be intervals of sun and snow, and highs will be just above 30 degrees.

Thursday night will be fair and colder with lows in the middle teens.

Friday will be a bit sunnier with highs in the middle 30s.  Saturday will have increasing clouds and highs in the upper 30s.  Another cold front arrives Saturday night with snow showers and an Arctic blast behind it.

Sunday will be colder with temps in the 20s.  Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Monday and Tuesday will be frigid with morning lows in the single digits and afternoon highs in the teens.
