Bright but cold Thursday, snow Friday
Sunshine re-emerges, still sub-freezing
Thursday morning will have pesky flurries and light snow showers, but the clouds will keep the air from becoming frigid. Instead of lows in the single digits, they will be in the teens and low 20s. Still, anyone venturing outside will be more comfortable the more they layer themselves.
Space heaters need to be used carefully when staying warm.
Literally on the bright side, skies will be mostly sunny with afternoon highs near 25 and wind speeds lower than earlier this week.
Thursday night will become cloudy and cold with lows in the upper teens.
Snow arrives Friday and will make the morning commute a mess.
Snow will be light, but streets and sidewalks will become more slippery. Snow may mix with freezing rain or sleet south of I-94. At the end of the day, 1 to 2 inches of snow may fall with 3 inches in isolated spots.
The snowfall forecast may change. So stay tuned to Local 4 News.
Lingering flurries and light snow will be present Saturday, but temps will rise into the low and middle 30s. Sunnier skies return, again, Sunday with highs in the upper 30s.
