It’s going to be a cool first weekend of March across the area with cloudy skies Saturday and a bit more sun Sunday.

We will likely see a few light snow showers Saturday as the winds whip off of Lake Huron bringing lake effect moisture even into the Detroit Metro Area. The snow may get a little more steady in the Thumb Region. The bigger weather story is the cool down with wind chills in the teens all of Saturday and wind chills in the single digits to start your Sunday. Highs Saturday near 28 degrees with cloudy skies, an occasional flurry or light snow shower and north winds around 7-11 mph.

We will see a bit more sun Sunday, but still a chilly day with highs in the upper 20s to near 30 degrees. Northwest winds again around 7-12 mph will keep wind chills in the single digits to teens throughout the end of the weekend. It looks to be a fairly dry week ahead and temps warm up eventually in the 7-day forecast.

The forecast is always on the Weather Page of ClickOnDetroit.com and on Local 4 News.
