DETROIT -

According to a DTE Energy spokesman, 18,000 customers are still without power after storms blew through metro Detroit.

The energy company said the majority of the outages were in Macomb County the rest were scattered in surrounding areas.

Power is expected to be back on for all customers by Wednesday night.

Storms moved through the area Tuesday afternoon and evening, knocking down trees and flooding areas. Areas in Macomb County had several reports of flooding and lightning strikes.
