DETROIT -

Another strong winter storm moving through the Midwest this week is expected to bring roughly 6 inches of snow to parts of southern Michigan.

The National Weather Service says the snow could be wet and heavy. It's expected to fall Tuesday afternoon and evening, and into Wednesday. More than 6 inches could fall in some places, including southeast Michigan. The same is expected in parts of West Michigan.

Northern Michigan is expected to be on the fringe of the storm. Officials are urging motorists to use caution because of the weather.

Storms hit the state last week, dumping snow and creating hazardous driving conditions.
