DETROIT -

Stronger storms have been firing north of Detroit in parts of Lapeer and St. Clair Counties and we may have a few brief Severe Thunderstorm Warnings for storms capable of gusty winds and one-inch size hail.

The storms are moving from the Saginaw Bay through the lower Thumb and into Ontario. So, most of Metro Detroit remains dry with nothing more Sunday Night other than a brief shower.

The heat is on for sure! We expect mid 90s Monday and near 100 degrees Tuesday bringing Air Quality Alerts or Ozone Action Days to start the week. The next chance for thundershowers will be Tuesday evening through Wednesday morning.

Stay tuned for updates on tonight’s storms and follow the radar on justweather.com.
