DETROIT -

Most of Tuesday will be dry and cold in Detroit.  A snowstorm that will be big for much of the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic will give Southeast Michigan a close shave late Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday night.  Afternoon temps will be in the low 30s.

Monroe and Lenawee Counties are the most likely areas to receive snow with 1 to 3 inches possible by the end of Tuesday night.  A trace to a couple of inches is possible for areas south of 8 Mile Road, including the City of Detroit.  Tuesday night temps will be in the 20s.

Wednesday will be mostly cloudy but not as cold.  Highs will be in the upper 30s.

Thursday and Friday will be sunnier and milder with daytime highs closer to or above average in the low and middle 40s.  Remember to Spring Forward one hour this weekend.
