SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -

Southfield police shot a suspect in a home-break in, and then chased his alleged accomplices down the Lodge Service Drive, early Monday morning.

Local 4’s Lauren Podell reports several men were trying to break into and steal a car on Potomac Street when the homeowner heard a noise and call police, thinking it was a home break-in.

When police arrived, the men ran down the street to a waiting car. A police chase down the Lodge Service Drive near the Marriott Hotel near Lahser ensued. Police stopped the car and arrested the men.

Southfield police say the man they shot does not have life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover.
