If you are coming downtown Sunday to watch the Tigers sweep the Yankees or the Wings beat the Blues, expect a dry, breezy afternoon with highs in the upper 50s.
Partly cloudy skies will prevail Sunday with lows in the mid to upper 30s. Monday will start dry for your morning commute, but rain will develop during the day and the drive home should be wet. Highs Monday will be in the mid-50s. Then expect cooler weather to move in for mid-to-late week, with highs Wednesday and beyond only in the low to mid 40s, and rain chances through Friday. There’s even the possibility for some sleet or wet snow in our far northern suburbs by Wednesday and Thursday!
By the way, we really need the rain we’ll get this week coming off our 5th driest March on record. We need to seriously recharge our soil moisture before the dry, hot spells of summer arrive.
