DETROIT -

March's first Monday morning will be dry but very cold with lows in the middle and low teens.  Fortunately it will be sunny and the countdown to spring continues.  Monday afternoon will be cold but bright with highs near 32.

Monday night will be partly cloudy and very cold with lows in the upper teens.

A snow storm giving heavy snow Monday to our friends and neighbors in Minnesota & the northern Plains Monday will dive to the south of Southeast Michigan Tuesday.  However, it will give the Detroit area a glancing blow, especially south of 8 Mile Road.  Tuesday afternoon has a chance of light snow with temps in the low 30s.  A few inches of snow are possible with Monroe and Lenawee Counties having a better chance of flakes.

Wednesday will be chilly and mostly cloudy with daytime temps in the middle 30s.  Temps return to average highs near 40 degrees Thursday and Friday.
