Wind advisories in effect until Monday night
Increasing wind speeds for the start of the work week
Monday morning temps will hover near 40 with cloudy skies and scattered rain. The rest of the day becomes windier and chillier.
A Wind Advisory will be in effect for Detroit and all of Southeast Michigan from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Damaging wind will blow 25 to 35 mph with gusts 45 mph or greater.
Afternoon temps will fall into the middle 30s with scattered snow showers. No heavy snow accumulation is expected, but some roads may become slippery. Some ramps, bridges and overpasses will be tricky to navigate, too.
Monday night's winds will be calmer with temps decreasing to the middle 20s.
Tuesday will be sunnier but chilly with afternoon temps in the upper 30s. It's looking like a good car wash-day with some melting.
More thawing will occur Wednesday with daytime temps in the low 40s.
