A warm front coming to metro Detroit Wednesday

Highs will reach mid 70s

DETROIT – Summer is back! At least for a few days.

You can feel the warm up out there today as highs will reach the mid 70's with winds SE 5-10 mph. There is rain on radar surrounding SE Michigan but we are too dry today for rain. High clouds will be the main player in the forecast but they will be harmless. Get out and enjoy the pick day of the week.

A warm front is heading our way tomorrow and we will see very isolated rain and thundershowers Thursday in the morning and then again with the heat of the afternoon. Highs will be near 80 degrees to end the work and school week Thursday and Friday. A cold brings a better chance for rain and isolated thunder Friday but it will still be warm before that front pushes through. The latest model information indicates we will not see rainouts either day ahead, just scattered showers through Lower Michigan.

Fall starts at 4:44pm Sunday. Temps will respond and be much cooler this weekend but we will stay dry. We may have a few lingering showers early Saturday but a cooler and nicer weekend is ahead
