DETROIT – Any lingering patches of very light rain or drizzle will steadily diminish this afternoon, and some of us may even see some sun before the end of the day (particularly those of you to the north). Temperatures should hold in the 60s, though areas that do get some late afternoon sun may hit 70 degrees (21 degrees Celsius for you Canadians). North winds will be at 5 to 10 mph.
Gradual clearing will continue tonight, with some patchy fog possible later at night, especially for those of you who got a lot of rain today. Lows will be in the upper 50s (15 degrees Celsius) with a very light northwest wind.
Skies will be mostly sunny on Friday, a great day to end the work week! Highs will be near 80 degrees (27 degrees Celsius) with a northwest wind at 3 to 7 mph shifting to the southwest. Friday's sunrise is at 6:06 a.m. and sunset is at 9:11 p.m.
It will be mostly clear on Friday night, with lows near 60 degrees.
Saturday will be mostly sunny with highs in the low to mid 80s. Mostly clear to partly cloudy on Saturday night with lows in the mid 60s.
It will be partly sunny on Sunday with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, especially by afternoon (I think the day will start dry, good news for my 9 a.m. softball game).
There's still some uncertainty on the timing of any storms on Sunday, so don't write this day off yet. Weekends are probably just as important to you as they are to me, so I'm keeping a close eye on things and I'll update you again tomorrow. Highs on Sunday will be near 80 degrees.
