Another day of warmth before much cooler air

Warmest day of the week is Monday

DETROIT – Monday is Rosh Hashanah, and the morning will be dry and cool with lows in the 50s.  

Before the 7:39pm sunset, skies will be mostly sunny. It will be 5 to 10 degrees warmer than average with highs near 80 and a breezy southwest wind 12 to 18 mph.

The rest of the week is cooler as a cold front approaches with rain Monday night and Tuesday. Forget 80 degrees. Highs will barely reach 70 through Friday.  Tuesday's afternoon temps will be in the low 60s after a morning soaker and mostly cloudy skies.

Wednesday will be be very chilly in the morning with lows in the low 40s.  

The sun will shine after lunch, but highs will only be near 65 degrees.

Thursday and Friday clouds will have a few more showers and keep daytime temps in the 60s.
