DETROIT - Sunday morning will be wonderful to wake up to as Detroiters are serenaded by birds and illuminated by sunlight before services, temperatures will be in the low 60s and upper 50s. The final day of the Susan G. Komen 3-Day will start spectacularly for supporters and participants. Drivers will need their sunglasses and be extra cautious with extra breast cancer fighting pedestrians on the march.
Sunday afternoon will be perfect for the final day of the 2013 Dream Cruise and baseball at Comerica Park. The Tigers play the Royals at 1:08pm. By the end of the game, Tigers fans will celebrate another win hopefully and car enthusiasts up and down Woodward Avenue will definitely ooh and aah at their favorite vehicles under mostly sunny skies and highs in the low to middle 80s.
As motorist turn on their headlights Sunday evening, temps will fall into the 70s under a majestic pink, orange and yellow sunset. Sunday night will be mostly clear and comfortable with lows returning to the low 60s and upper 50s.
Monday will be bright and just as warm with highs near 85. The only concern for the rest of the week will be the water bill. Homeowners' sprinklers will have to work overtime this week with barely a drop of rain from Mother Nature and rising afternoon temperatures.
Tuesday will be warmer with highs in the middle 80s. Upper 80s will be felt by the middle of the week. The next hint of rain will be Friday with a possible cold front bringing showers and thunderstorms just before or into early next weekend and lowering afternoon highs.
