Mild Friday, warmer Saturday in Metro Detroit

DETROIT – After this morning's heavy rain and fog, mild air pours into Southeast Michigan with clearing skies.  Any murky or misty regions will dry out during the afternoon rush hour.  Temps will jump into the upper 50s, nearly 30 degrees above average.

Friday night will be fair and remain above freezing.  Re-freezing will be of little concern.  Lows will be near 40.  There is a chance of breaking Saturday's record of highest morning low temperature which was 40 degrees set in 2007.

Saturday will be much drier and warmer.  Highs will be near or just above 60.  The record high is 63 degrees from 1890.

Enjoy the warm weather while it lasts because it will feel more like January Sunday and next week.  Detroit will not see an Arctic blast, but temps will fall into the 30s with rain and a some wet snowflakes.

Next Monday and Tuesday will be brighter, but Winter-like air will stay in place.  Daytime highs will be near freezing, and nighttime lows will be in the low 20s.
