Brace yourselves for more of brutal cold and wind

Bitter wind chills will be -15 to -30 all day

DETROIT – Brace yourselves for some more of this brutal cold and wind. Wind chills this morning are around -30 degrees and may get a bit colder from time to time.

Skies are clear and that means we'll get a lot of snow glare so, grab the sunglasses.

Bitter wind chills will be -15 to -30 all day as air temps struggle to hit positive territory.

Cold sunshine with a few lake effect clouds and breezes SW 10-15 mph gusting stronger at times.

Our Wind Chill Advisory will continue until noon on Wednesday as dangerous wind chills will be with us all night into the first half of tomorrow.

The winds will relax enough to make things a bit more manageable by afternoon.

We urge you all to be careful driving, shoveling, and getting through the next few days. Check on those neighbors and don't forget the pets.

Snow coming Thursday late afternoon or evening.

This one doesn't look like much but may drop 1-2" of fresh snow around Metro Detroit.

We only need one tenth of an inch of snow to have the snowiest month in our record books.

It will be a race against the clock but I think we will do it later this week.

Track what's coming our way on our radar images, get the dangerous wind chills in your neighborhood, and a look into your weekend forecast on the new ClickOnDetroit app (it's free!) in your app store.
