We will have gray skies this Friday afternoon with a bit of a cool breeze.
Highs will creep into the mid and maybe upper 50s with a few spotty rain showers and areas of drizzle lingering into the early evening. These are hit-and-miss showers and won’t drench everyone so don’t cancel your Friday evening plans. There will be pesky winds from the SW 10-20 mph which make it feel a bit cooler outside all day. As has been the pattern the last few night, a few isolated showers are possible through the overnight.
Expect a quick shot at 60 degrees Saturday afternoon with gusty winds trying to boost Saturday temps. Still, we have a good chance for early-to-mid-afternoon showers as a cold front approaches. So high temps come in the early afternoon before the rain chances. A wide window for wet weather will be between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. but by no means is it an all-day wash out.
Breezy conditions tomorrow means winds SW 15-25 mph early will shift to the WNW later in the afternoon bringing slightly cooler air for the second half of the weekend. Our computer model is showing a few random showers mainly north of Detroit Saturday afternoon bringing scattered showers to the Thumb region.
We are looking at improving weather late Saturday and especially on Sunday. Highs Sunday will again be near 60 degrees with a bit more sunshine. A chunk of cooler air is sliding down behind this big system keeping us in the 50s most of the day Sunday.
