Break from wet weather Wednesday

Highs around 80 degrees

DETROIT – More sun this Wednesday afternoon as we continue to dry out from early week storms. Highs around 80 degrees are expected once again today with much lighter winds SW 5-10 mph.

We will see showers and storms across Metro Detroit Thursday but the timing is not totally clear. It looks like showers and isolated thunderstorms will begin in the mid to late morning and last into the mid afternoon bringing some heavy showers at times. So, if you're in a flood prone area or have had issues this year… keep an eye on the basements. With the rain midday and clouds all day, highs tomorrow only in the low 70s.

Friday through most of the weekend will be dry although we may see a few light showers on Saturday. Again, no washouts are expected as highs all weekend will hang in the mid to upper 70s.

The shower chances on Saturday and Sunday look very light and mainly on the east side over the big lakes.
