Bright, summer-like Sunday afternoon in Metro Detroit

Highs in low 80s

DETROIT – Sunday will become sunnier and warmer with hotter, more humid weather on Detroit's doorstep. Monday and Tuesday will definitely feel more like summer.

Sunday afternoon will be mostly sunny, warm and wonderful. Highs will be in the low 80s. It will be perfect for the 1pm ET Tigers' fourth game against Cleveland. Trips to the pool, beach or water park look excellent, too.        

Sunday evening will be fair and warm with temperatures in the 70s.

Sunday night will be mild and a bit more muggy. Lows will be near 70 degrees by Monday morning with hazy conditions.

Monday and Tuesday will be hotter and more humid. Highs will be in the middle and upper 80s and Monday. Tuesday's thermometers will read near 90 degrees Tuesday.

The next chance of showers and thunderstorms is on Wednesday. Highs will be near 85 degrees. The wet weather is ahead of another wave of cooler-than-average air that will mean daytime temperatures below 80 degrees Thursday and Friday.
