DETROIT – Welcome to Sunday! Hope everyone enjoyed an extra hour of sleep. If you still need to "Fall Back" one hour, now is the time to do it. Also, it is an excellent time to replace the batteries in all smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors and all warning devices.
Sunday afternoon will be mostly sunny, but chilly. Highs will be in the low 40s; over ten degrees below average.
Sunday evening will be calm but turn colder again. Sunset will be at 5:24pm EST, which is just over an hour earlier than Saturday because of the end of Daylight Saving Time. Temps fall into the upper 30s by dinnertime.
Sunday night will have fair skies and become colder. Overnight lows will be near freezing in the city and suburbs.
Monday will be sunny and chilly with afternoon temps near 50 degrees.
Mother Nature will help voters get to polls Election Day, Tuesday. Skies will go from mostly sunny to mostly cloudy, but it will remain dry. Temps will be near 40 degrees when polling centers open in the morning. The afternoon will be cool with highs near 55 degrees.
Wednesday and Thursday will have the next chance of rain for the Motor City and Southeast Michigan.
