Metro Detroit weather forecast: Chilly start Friday, getting warmer for the weekend

Highs in the mid 50s

DETROIT – A chilly Friday Morning in the low to mid 30s as you head out with patchy fog in many of the usual outlying areas around Metro Detroit. Skies will clear out a bit giving us a nice mix of sun and clouds as highs start climbing slowly back into the mid 50s. It will be a dry and somewhat calm day with winds NW becoming SSW 5-12 mph.

It looks now like a dry start to the day on Saturday with better rain chances tomorrow late in the day. Warming Saturday into the upper 60s to low 70s and breezy. Winds from WSW 10-20 mph gusting stronger here and there with skies turning mostly cloudy most of the day. That means a nice and dry day in East Lansing for Michigan vs. Michigan State. Shower chances increase after 8 p.m. Saturday night with a few rain and/or thundershowers moving in.

Sunday morning rain and isolated thundershowers will give way to some afternoon sunshine and highs in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees.  Monday is Halloween and it looks great! Expect plenty of sunshine and highs in low 60s, which means trick-or-treaters will be out with temps in the 50s and dry.
