Chilly start Wednesday with dry day ahead

Warmer temperatures to return Thursday

DETROIT – It's a chilly start to your Wednesday with temps in the low 20s down into the teens in some outlying areas of Metro Detroit.

Clear skies prevail for the start of the day with a slow increase in clouds throughout the late morning or afternoon. But, you can expect a dry day today.

We'll start to warm up a bit from yesterday's low 30s. Highs today will be in the low to maybe mid 40s with winds SSE 6-12 mph.

The Upper Peninsula has more snow coming later today prompting a Winter Strom Warning. Some of our friends and family up north could see 6-12" of new snow through tomorrow.

Warmer winds will blow in here tomorrow bringing a surge in temps. We will get back to normal, near 60° by Thursday with another dry day. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies and very mild with a bit of light rain trying to move in after sunset into the late evening hours. It's not much, and not much to worry about.

The next weather maker heading into SE Michigan will bring on and off rain showers on Friday. Highs Friday will range from mid 50s to near 60 degrees again.

Easter weekend looks mainly dry right now with temps in the mid to upper 50s. We will keep you updated all week for any changes with the big holiday weekend ahead.
