Clear, warm Sunday evening ahead for Metro Detroit

Evening temps fall into 70s

DETROIT – Sunday evening will have partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the 70s.

Sunday night will be cloudier with scattered showers and thunderstorms developing around midnight and afterward.

A showery, stormy pattern will develop Monday and last much of the work week. Monday may have some heavy downpours and lightning, but it will remain warm. Highs will be in the low 80s.

Tuesday's daytime temps will be around 75 degrees. Scattered showers and storms will linger. On and off showers with partly sunny skies will continue Wednesday and Thursday with afternoon temperatures in the low and middle 70s. The best chance of sustained sunshine returning is Saturday.
