Cold but sunnier Friday

Sunshine Friday, a little snow this weekend

DETROIT – Friday morning skies will clear allowing for another very cold morning.  Lows will be near 20 in Detroit and in the teens in the suburbs.  Wind chills will reach the single digits.  The afternoon will be mostly sunny, but car heaters will be essential again with sub-freezing highs near 30 degrees.

Friday night will be fair and cold with lows near 20 or below, again.

2013's first full weekend will not be as cold.  Saturday will be the brightest of the two days with highs in the low 30s.  Saturday night and Sunday will have a chance of flurries and light snow with daytime temps near 30.  It will be great for snowmobile drivers and rider, skiers and ice skaters.

Next week will have sunshine coming back with a good chance of thawing during daylight hours.  Nighttime and early morning lows will be in the 20s, but afternoon highs will be in the middle and upper 30s.
