Cold, but sunshine appears

Brighter Wednesday with highs in the upper 20s

DETROIT – Wednesday morning will have a frigid start with temps in the middle and low teens.  However skies will be partly cloudy this time, and unfiltered sunshine will appear when the sun starts to rise before 7:45 a.m.  The rest of the day will be partly to mostly sunny.  It will be cold with highs in the upper 20s, but the sun's rays will feel wonderful.

Wednesday night will become mostly cloudy with lows in the upper teens.

The week's final bout of snow will arrive Thursday afternoon with temps just above 30.  Snow showers Thursday afternoon and evening will result in a fresh 1 to 4 inches, but more sun returns for the end of the week.

Friday will be beautiful for the start of the Motown Winter Blast in downtown Detroit's Campus Martius.  Skies will be partly sunny, and daytime temps will be in the low 30s.  Saturday will be brighter with highs in the low 30s, again.  Sunday will have a chance of snow and rain showers after slightly milder air moves in with highs closer to 40.
