Cold fronts coming to Metro Detroit

Temperatures will reach the upper 70s Thursday

DETROIT –  A third cold front in the last 36 hours will move through tonight.

The first one brought the violent storms Wednesday. The second cold front is moving through this midday and high temps will settle in the upper 70's with overcast turning to some afternoon sun. The last cold front will bring a few evening showers and then a noticeable chill overnight into tomorrow.

Get ready to really feel the colder air here Friday as temps hover mainly in the 50's all day with a few light showers possible. A chilly shower during the day tomorrow is more likely for communities on the east side. North winds will enhance lake effect clouds from Lake Huron and the bigger lakes east. But showers won't be a main part of the forecast. We will eventually see some low 60's in the afternoon with north winds 10-20 mph.

The weekend will be dry but cool. Saturday morning lows will be in the 30's to low 40's with the cooler spots in the suburbs outside of Detroit. Highs get into the mid 60's Saturday and upper 60's Sunday.
