Cold Saturday night, cloudy

Becoming snowy Sunday

DETROIT – Please join me on Twitter (@AndrewLocal4) for regular weather updates.

Saturday night will be cloudy and chilly with temperatures in the middle and upper 20s. A new round of snow is on the way due to a clipper, but it arrives after dawn, Sunday.

The heart of Sunday's clipper will dive south of Detroit and Southeast Michigan, and that means manageable amounts of new snow. Most of the region will see up to 1 inch of accumulation. Areas far west and south of Detroit, in Washtenaw, Livingston, Lenawee and Monroe Counties, will see 1 to 2 inches or slightly more. Regardless of amounts, motors must still exercise caution.

Colder air swoops in early next week. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will see high temperatures barely up to 20° or slightly more. Night time and morning lows will range from the teens on Monday morning to single digits Monday night, Tuesday morning and Wednesday morning. Wind chills will be near zero or even less.
