Cool and cloudy day across metro Detroit Tuesday

Temps in the 50s

DETROIT – Cloudy to mostly cloudy skies this morning with not one but two cold fronts passing through this morning.

That means temps in the 50s this morning will stay right there. Highs in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees feeling cooler with those clouds and that wind whipping all day. A few sprinkles are likely at times Tuesday with clouds and winds W 10-20 mph with stronger gusts from time to time.

The cool air is sticking around all week. But, we'll see more sunshine Wednesday with partly cloudy skies becoming only partly sunny at times with lake enhanced clouds blowing in and out. Highs tomorrow in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees with winds WNW 7-15 mph.

Thursday starts off nice with some sun and afternoon highs in the low to maybe mid 60s. But, another cool front will approach and bring some shower chances especially late afternoon and evening through early Friday.

Friday starts out wet early and then mostly to partly sunny and cool in the mid 50s. The weekend could be a struggle for SE Lower Michigan and Southern Ontario to get out of the 40s with cool sunshine.
