Cool Monday morning, patchy fog

Rain and snow on the way

DETROIT – A cool start in the 20s with patchy fog around Metro Detroit and a few slick spots on the roads as a result this Monday morning. Partly cloudy skies will turn mostly cloudy and highs will only hit the middle 40s this afternoon. Winds will be light NE 5-10 mph.

Rain showers overspread the area late tonight and overnight into early Tuesday. It will be a light rain through the early morning hours tomorrow with a few areas of drizzle still possible on and off with cloudy skies into the afternoon. Highs will climb a bit near 50 degrees and winds pick up SE turning SW 7-17 mph.

Wednesday will be cooler with temps in the 30s to low 40s and a chance for some afternoon snow. It may be a wintry mix depending on the temps, but models show light snow in the area midweek which won't stack up to much.
