Cool start, lots of sunshine Wednesday

Highs in the low 80s

DETROIT – This is going to be a great weather day!

We start out this morning with comfortably cooling temps in the 50s to low 60s with patchy fog as cooler air spills in over enough moisture locked in here at the surface.

The humidity becomes much more manageable today and you can expect plenty of sunshine as highs climb back into the low 80s. So, today will be warmer than yesterday but will feel very pleasant with reduction of humidity

Thursday looks good with a chance for a few showers up north during the mid to late morning. For now, just mostly sunny to partly cloudy around Metro Detroit tomorrow as we start to warm back up and see a few showers in our northern counties up into the Thumb. With hazy sunshine, highs will hit the mid 80s.

We have a very good chance of seeing rain and thundershowers to end the work and school week. Expect most of the wet weather with the possibility of a few stronger storms by Friday afternoon. Before the cold front arrives, highs should hit mid to upper 80s adding to the instability here in SE Lower Michigan.
That front will bring noticeably cooler air into Metro Detroit this weekend. \

Other than an early morning shower Saturday, the weekend looks dry and cooler. Lows will be in the 50s while highs may only hit low 70s.
