Cool Sunday morning, then warmth comes

Highs in the 70s, warmer later this week

DETROIT – Sunday morning will be sunny, cool and crisp with temps beginning in the 50s and low 60s. Anyone starting the day early by going to services, exercising or getting a jump start at weekend fairs and festivals will have dry roads and comfortable conditions.

Sunday afternoon will be amazing. It will be warm for folks going to the pool or beach with highs in the upper 70s north of M-59 and in the low 80s in Detroit and south of M-59. Humidity remains in the comfortable range for families going to the 4th Annual Music Festival in Highland Park, Festiva Italiana in Sterling Heights or the Czech & Slovak Festival in Dearborn.

Sunday evening will be beautiful with a 9:13pm sunset. Skies will be mostly clear up until bedtime. After midnight clouds increase and keep Southeast Michigan mild overnight with lows in the mid and upper 60s.

Gray skies will produce scattered showers and storms Monday and Tuesday with a warm front approaching and higher humidity. Monday afternoon's temps will be in the low 80s. Tuesday's highs will be in the middle 80s.

Another heat wave will be averted with the passage of a cold front by Wednesday. Mid-week and late-week skies will be partly to mostly sunny, again, with high temperatures going from the upper 70s to the low 80s by Friday.
