Cool, wet Sunday in Detroit

Cooler than average weather continues

DETROIT – An area of low pressure continues to circulate over the entire state of Michigan. It is pulling cooler air over the Motown area and is producing showers and thunderstorms during the midday hours through the afternoon. Daytime highs will be way below normal by 10 to 15 degrees. Afternoon temps will be in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees. Tigers' fans may have to be patient with any weather delays in the game against the Phillies at Comerica Park.

Showers and storms continue Sunday evening with temperatures in the 60s.

Drier air arrives after midnight with overnight lows in the 50s by Monday morning.

Monday afternoon will be sunnier and milder with highs in the low 70s. It feels like summer again Tuesday and the rest of the week. Tuesday will be mostly sunny with highs near 80. Afternoon temps will be in the low 80s Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
