DETROIT – After a beautiful sunset, clouds will continue to clear out tonight.
That will allow temperatures to drop to around the freezing mark by daybreak Wednesday. Also expect some areas of fog tomorrow morning, but it shouldn't be as dense or as widespread as what we saw Tuesday morning.
Wednesday forecast:
Wednesday, sunshine will mix with clouds for breakfast. But clouds will quickly win out by lunch. Temperatures will won't be quite as warm as Tuesday's highs. But we'll still see the mid 40s before precipitation really gets going. It will start as rain. Then snow will start mixing in toward the end of our afternoon commute.
Eventually this will become all snow after sunset, but at that point there won't be much moisture left. No significant accumulations are expected. But a couple bursts of snow could coat grassy spots or picnic tables. Better chances of that will be south of Detroit.
Thursday forecast:
Overnight, we'll dry out and lows will be back to around freezing by Thursday morning. Clouds will hang around through sunrise as well.
Thursday starts a stretch of dry weather that will take us into LATE next week. Temperatures won't move much -- generally at or above average, except over the weekend, where plenty of sunshine will bring slightly colder starts but highs near 50 in the afternoon.
