Could it snow on both Passover and Easter in metro Detroit?

And what about Opening Day?

DETROIT – I'm back from the conference in Paris and, trust me, the weather there wasn't great -- rain and wind.

At least I didn't have to deal with the snow you had here back home, but there's still more in the forecast, unfortunately.

Rain will end this evening, with gradual clearing taking place after midnight. The combination of wet ground, clear skies, and light wind could promote some fog formation later at night. Lows in the low 40s.

Good Friday will start with some sunshine, but clouds will increase and rain showers are possible by mid-afternoon. Highs in the low to mid 50s. Southwest wind shifting to the north at 8 to 13 mph.

Friday's sunrise is at 7:13 AM, and Friday's sunset is at 8:01 PM.

Friday evening is also the start of Passover, and rain showers could mix with or change to some wet snowflakes. Obviously, the best chance is the farther north in our area that you are, as that's where the colder air will be. But yes, we could have some snowflakes on Good Friday and Passover this year (and we're not done with holiday snow, as you'll read below). Lows by Saturday morning in the mid 20s.

Saturday should start with some sunshine, with skies becoming partly cloudy by afternoon. Highs in the mid to upper 40s.

Increasing clouds Saturday night, with the chance for some light snow late at night. Lows in the low 30s.

Easter Sunday and the second full day of Passover will probably start with light snow (the fur-lined Easter bonnet just may be the one to wear this year), followed by a changeover to rain showers. Highs in the mid to upper 40s.

Cloudy with just a few light rain or snow showers possible Sunday night. Lows in the mid 30s.

Opening Day will be our fourth major holiday in four days, and Monday's weather is still highly uncertain. We'll have a warm front to our south and, as I always say, never trust a warm front. Showers will break out on the north side of the front, and whether or not we get any will be determined by how far north the front itself drifts. There's no way I can nail this down until the computer models get a better handle on the front's exact position but, right now, I cannot rule out some light showers during the game -- I'll keep you updated. Highs near 50.

Rain increases Monday night, with lows near 40.

Rain is possible on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with highs near 50 on Tuesday, and in the upper 40s on Wednesday and Thursday.
