Classic spring day Tuesday in metro Detroit

DETROIT – It's a classic spring day with crisp temps this morning and beautiful warming sunshine most of the day.

Morning temps are in the 30s as you head out and about and a light jacket required for a couple of hours early on.

Grab the shades too. Sunshine early on will give way to partly cloudy skies into the afternoon as highs hit the low 60s. Winds will be light North 5-10 mph.

There's a weak cold front approaching tomorrow and it will spark a few scattered afternoon showers around Metro Detroit.

Don't cancel your afternoon and evening plans but you may have to dodge a light shower or two.

Highs tomorrow should hit the low 60s before the mid to late afternoon shower threat arrives.

Scattered showers linger into Thursday and in the wake of the cool front, we may only see upper 50s for highs.

It's not going to be an all day soaker but the umbrella should be at the ready as always in the Spring.

Sunshine returns Friday through the weekend as temps begin to soar into the mid and upper 60s by Friday and near 70 degrees both weekend days.
